Our mission at Route to Rescue is to save neglected, abandoned, and abused dogs and cats, educate the public about animal rights issues, and advocate for those who do not have a voice.

Our Story

Route to Rescue was founded simply and organically. Our founder loved animals and felt like she wanted to do more, so she went and registered the company, and the rest was history. Always keeping in mind our goals, we make sure every action aligns with the change we hope to accomplish. Our goals are broken down into three categories:

rescue

Rescue cats and dogs that have been neglected, abandoned, abused, or mistreated.

Provide a safe space for surrendered animals.

Find a loving home for all of our furry friends.

Assist in the neutering and spaying of animals.

educate

Support animal services professionals in gaining the education required to serve the field, such as veterinaries, vet techs, etc.
Provide educational programs for pet owners on their pets' nutritional needs, behavioral training, reactivity control and more.
Educate the public on the current legal climate of animal rights.
Raise awareness on the issues that rescues face, such as animal overpopulation, dumping, etc.

advocate

Support law students and lawyers as they advocate on behalf of animals, big and small.

Raise awareness of legislation that supports, or potentially harms, animal rights.

Support organizations that fight and advocate for animals rights.
